Human Capital PlanningHelping businesses align staff numbers and skills with their business objectives. Human CapitalMost businesses (private or public) experience difficulty in applying all their staff, all of the time, to the one task of achieving their major goals and objectives. Unlike other factors of production, human capital is more difficult to manage. It does not behave as predictably as a piece of equipment. Any business (private and public) can have difficulty getting all their workers to ‘read from the same page’, sometimes even ‘the same book’! This explains why many businesses rarely analyse their human capital to see if it is adequate (right number, competence) and suitably managed (deployment, motivation) to achieve their business objectives. Virtually no business will achieve its objectives efficiently with unsuitable human capital.
Our ApproachWe assess the precise human capital requirements for organisations / services / programs in order to achieve their objectives. We do this by analysing business objectives and determining the work required, we translate this into a demand for human capital (expressed as precise skills, knowledge and motivation), and then assess capacity of the current human capital in the organisation/service/program to meet current and future demand, and provide recommendations based on the outcomes. Our approach is captured in the diagram below.
