A consortium representing NSW Health and the Universities of NSW, Sydney and Western Sydney has identified core competencies that the workforce in locationally disadvantaged communities requires. HCA has been a part of this consortium since 2005 and has contributed several publications to the consortium’s knowledge base, included Locational Disadvantage Towards a Systematic Education of the Workforce. HCA's role in this new project is to develop appropriate assessment tools which will be critical to the smooth implementation and demonstration of the desired outcomes of the course.
